I just went to COMPUSA and picked up a USB wireless adapter WUSB11 because it was regular 49.99 with a $10 instant rebate and two mail in rebates and the total after the rebates is only $4.99. Good deal.

Now the question - will it work? I'm going over soon to install it - but the tivo site that says if its compatible or not lists 3 different Linksys WUSB11 adapters. Version 2.6, 2.8 and 3.0. The problem is the adapter doesnt list which version it is anywhere that I can see - the guy at COMPUSA said it might say it somewhere on the adapter but I can't find it. So will this work just fine? Anyone? Thanks

Look for the small print under the barcode. It should list the version there.

    v2.6, v2.8, v3.0 good
    v4.0 bad, take it back

ugh - it's version 4. I saw it in the small print now. What do you recommend I get? Perferable a cheaper option.

You can go wired with a refurb. Netgear FA120. Cost about $15 online. The transfer speed will be much better.
