Is this Bonjour service needed? When I was running Windows XP on my main machine, I noticed that this service prevented my Internet connection from starting. (This computer was not running the TiVo Desktop)

I would have to disable my Internet connection and then re-enable it every time I re-booted until I disabled it.

Bonjour isn't needed. You can still use Tivo Beacon.
Open Tivo Server Properties, go to the Network tab and select Tivo Beacon.

Thanks! Of course, it works now. But a good thing to keep in mind. It took me a month to figure out when Apple installed this service. I posted it on a blog in case other people had issues (back in January 2009). Maybe they have fixed it but on my main PC, I made sure it was not starting.
