I'm upgrading a TiVo Series 2 40 GB HD to a 200 GB HD and just wanted to make sure I do this correctly. I'm going to use MFSLive and want to make this is the right command:

    backup -f 9999 -qso - /dev/hda | restore -s 128 -xzpi - /dev/hdb

    Is there anything I'm missing?

I think you are good to go.

Make sure you get the latest Linux Boot Cd 1.3a I think it is now.
If you are not sure about the command, try http://www.mfslive.org/cgen.php

Now.. how long should it take for it to power up? Does the size of the HD going to make a difference in powering up?

I'm becoming concerned since the old HD booted up fine and it's taking a bit for the new one.

12:07pm CST: Now, I've got a problem. It'll say 'Welcome! Powering up..' then 'Almost there. Just a few more minutes...' then it'll reboot itself.

Upgraded from a Maxtor DiamondMax 40 to a Western Digital Caviar SE on a TiVo Series 2 TCD540040.

    Any help would be appeciated.
