upgrading internal drive

    If I swap out the drive in my Series 3, is it remotely possible to copy data over from the drive already in there so I don't lose what I have recorded? Sadly, I have it spread out over an eSata add on too.

    You'll only be able to carry over the recordings you had on the original drive.
    This is after you divorce the external drive from the machine.

    And the dumb question: how do I know what shows are on the internal vs. external drive?

    You don't - there is no way to tell. The drives are treated as one flat file system - recordings can have data on either or both drives.
