I was thinking it would be nice to have a list of shows that are either running a series marathon or airing from the Pilot episode. I know there are a couple shows I fell behind on and didn't realize they had starting airing them all again in anticipation for the new season. I figure I will also include non-US TV shows that are debuting here.

    Oh yes! Great thread idea!

If anyone happens to notice when The Closer starts over, I'd be grateful.

Just be warned that virtually all shows shown in reruns like this are HEAVILY hacked up, so you aren't seeing the entire show as it originally aired.

If it airs in a longer timeslot than it originally did (e.g. a "half hour" show showing now in a 34 minute timeslot), it may be an unedited version. I did see the Fox version of Kitchen Nightmares showing up on some channel in the upcoming Tivo guide data with well over 1 hour timeslots.. I think around 1:07. So I'm hoping they're unedited. (I know I missed a few along the way.)

Yeah I am aware of that but good to know and point out. It is one of those reasons I tend to avoid reruns. I would hope at least if the original channel is airing it that it won't be hacked to hell.

Even the original network airing the show sometimes edits them.. I remember a semi-big stink about UPN editing one of the Trek shows -- I think Enterprise -- in same-season reruns.

I think I'll setup Breaking Bad to record from the beginning. We only recently got AMC in HD, so I resisted watching anything on their. I did watch the first ep of Mad Men, and found it boring, but I recorded i again and I'll give it another shot.

But I may not get to it until the summer, as I have probably have 2-3 episodes of most of the shows I normally watch to catch up on.

Mad Men takes time to develop. Also, it's less about plot and a lot more about characters.

Yeah, that's what I'm getting from reading here, and why I'm going to give it another shot. Being bored and NON-HD turned me off last time, but I'm more willing to try the HD version :)

I can't believe how much of an HD snob I've become LOL

Mad Men looks great in HD. The office interiors. the clothes. everything.

You gotta give it time for characters to begin to develop more. Try to see if you like anyone. :)

I agree that Mad Men is worth sticking with.

By "hacking up" reruns, do you mean that they actually cut OUT some content? Or do they just insert frequent commercial breaks at the worst spots?

Writers used to write with the intent of allowing certain spots for commercial breaks, but the younger generation of editors with ADHD have absolutely no regard for such things. Grrrr!

The TiVo guide shows that it starts on 12/4.

So glad you brought this to my attention, because I have a friend that I am dying to have watch Breaking Bad!! :D She lives in the boonies and has no high speed internet, so streaming is out of the question.

I show it is at midnight and my TiVo shows 12/5. The second episode is on 12/12.

Strange. I just double checked and I still show it here on AMC. They are airing it at midnight.

Gotcha, it's on at midnight the night of 12/4, which is technically the morning of 12/5.

IFC is airing the Pilot of Undeclared on 12/7, with the rest of the series following daily.

We just finished Freaks and Geeks, so we're looking forward to seeing the follow-up.

I think I will watch The Walking Dead, my friends say it's good but I am kinda fed up with zombie movies.
