I just want to make 100% sure I understand... (I'm a girl, what can I say.)

I have a very old DirecTV Tivo box. I made the investment in a 100 hr box back when DirecTV was giving away the 30 hour boxes. I do not have HD and no plans to get it in the near future nor do I want to stray from the DirecTV path. I believe after approximately 7 years that my hard drive is starting to go (stuttering, weird color things).

I do NOT want to lose Tivo soooo, my question is this... if I buy a used HR10-250 I should be covered in continuing on the same merry Tivo trail I'm on now, correct? Obviously I have my own access card. Will there be any repercussions from DirecTV if I switch boxes?

Any and all help is appreciated.

If it is a failing hard drive, you can buy a replacement from DVRUpgrade.com or Weaknees.com. Or you can buy a hard drive of the size you want and use InstantCake to put the system on it. This way, you won't need to go through a DirecTV CSR to get another HR10 activated. See the HDTiVo forum for horror stories on activating a used HR10.
