I just purchased the Glo Remote. It controls my Sony TV just fine but I am having a hard time getting the remote to control a new ONKYO SR505 receiver.

Just called Tivo and the person I had talked to was of no help. I would really like to use the GLO remote provided it can control both my TV and receiver as the product claims.

    Please let me know.

I don't think it will work. Onkyo receivers have a separate on/off switch. I have the TX-SR705.

Onkyo's have an "on" switch and a separate "standby" switch.

Sorry... But I think you are out of luck o this one.

Yes, I did. Nevermind, I figured it out and it does turn the ONKYO receiver on/off.

The person I talked to on the phone with Tivo was giving me the wrong information. I found a link on their website which explained the learning function of the glo remote.

I had to enter codes for TV, codes for volume on AV, and then do the learning function for power on/off on the receiver.
