I love Lynch's humor. And also while I'd love Agt Cooper back, at this point I would miss Dougie terribly.

Go ahead and make episode threads. Nobody was making them except for a couple so it seemed pointless.

Perhaps I'm not as smart as I like to think, but I doubt I could spoil this show if I tried.

Donna did not die. The character was in Fire Walk With Me, but Lara Flynn Boyle was replaced by Moira Kelly. It is unclear if it was because of a scheduling conflict, or if she chose not to be in the film. I suspect that her and Lynch don't get along very well. I could be wrong, but I don't think Donna has been mentioned even once in the new show. It's almost as if the character has been completely erased from the canon. :)

Apparently there was some friction with Lara Flynn Boyle during the original show, because she was dating Kyle MacLachlan at the time and was unhappy with the storyline about the budding relationship between Cooper and Audrey Horne.

Thanks - I thought she was on The Practice by the time Fire Walk With Me was filming... but none of the rest of the speculations would surprise me.

The Practice was many years after Fire Walk with Me. She was doing Wayne's World around the time of the movie.

Just found this thread. Thanks for the clip with Damon Lindelof; he sums it up perfectly.

I'm not sure I LIKE it, but I know every Sunday I look forward to it and I'm going to miss it terribly in four short weeks. I won't soon forget how I felt when Part 1 or Part 8 aired.

I think I'm lucky to be a Twin Peaks fan AND a David Lynch fan. The Twin Peaks fan in me is disappointed but the David Lynch fan in me gets a mini-movie from him every week for 18 weeks which is incredible.

I don't have anyone I know IRL who watches. Last week I finally met someone who did and I wouldn't leave them alone! So much I wanted to talk about with someone else in person. I guess it's telling that the first thing we discussed was, "I'm sick of Dougie". I like Lynch's humor (I love Lynch/Frost's short-lived "On The Air" series, which I have copies of) but Dougie has spent my last nerve.

At this point, I don't think we're getting Cooper back, of if we do, it clearly won't be for much of the story. Have to get past that; nothing's going to change that fact at this late stage.

If we were dealing with anyone other than Lynch, I'd predict that we get Cooper back sometime in the last half of the final episode. Since we *are* dealing with Lynch, then obviously anything can happen. Or not happen. I'm not sure he has any particular interest in telling a story with anything resembling a conventional beginning, middle, and end.

To the extent that it's about anything, it vaguely seems to be about how Cooper gets back. So I vaguely expect he'll be back at some point.

    Or not.

I've been watching some of the rest of the Lynch catalog in between episodes. I think for tomorrow on my flight that I have it's Blue Velvet.

Well, let's just say I'll likely only watch it if I have a window seat. Otherwise, I'll be catching up on something else. ;)

I guess Monica Bellucci is a David Lynch (or Twin Peaks) fan..?

Too bad David Bowie didn't live long enough (or stay healthy long enough) to do his role. That was an interesting way to work him in anyway.

Anyone know if Showtime plans a marathon before he finale?

I've been watching streaming (which may expire) but Fios just gave me a free Showtime sub so I'd love to record them all for safe keepings.

Episode 14 was fantastic! Who knew Sarah had it in her! (literally & figuratively)

Interesting that some seemingly random things are getting tied together...i.e., Janey-E is Diane's half sister!
