I just saw this today. I use to be a big Twin Peaks fan. Scared of going back and watching it and being disappointed now.

Wow. That's awesome. To think there used to be a day when you had to hunt this show down.

As much as I love this show (I own both seasons and the prequel movie on DVD), I have to admit that you could probably jettison about 1/3 of the plot lines and half of the second season... but having said that, if they ever return to the town of Twin Peaks I will be first in line to sign up.

I should probably watch this too. I've never seen a second of it.

Yep, me too. I'm afraid it won't be as good as I remember it being. But nice to have the option.

Great theme music and the opening with the saw mill - just about half hour from here. I hike "Twin Peaks" about 5 or 6 times a year - new snow on it yesterday.

Really? I've had it on DVD for years. The DVD for the pilot was "tricky" to get, but with the internet, not really all that bad. For the rest of the series? You could pick it up anywhere.

They certainly had to have other story lines going on to sustain the show once the primary story line got resolved. But I wasn't a fan of them all. And the overriding theme they created got really weird.

Do you think we could start up an actual discussion thread on the show? One where we could post spoilers? I dunno how it would work for a show that went off the air over a decade ago. One thread per episode? I have everything on DVD, so I could keep up and re-watch it all with all the Netflix peeps

People will probably go through it at different rates. My wife and I are watching it together and we probbly won't get tgrough more than a couple of episodes a week.

Right.. So, I think a "master" thread would be hard for people because it would be nothing but spoiler tags. So, maybe one thread per episode? As if it were airing like a current show?

Or can this just not work for an old show ?

Let's try. The worst that can happen is that people will watch at different rates and it'll become spread out in time.

    Sure..

I see you started it.. I suppose S1E1 is the pilot? I guess that's on Netflix? back when there were DVDs, the pilot wasn't actually in the DVD set. You had to get it seprate as an import. Weird. But I have it all. Won't be able to re-watch tonight... But I'll get too it ASAP.

David Lynch is crazy. He deals a lot with dual personalities and what not and it very evident with Twin Peaks. I enjoyed it the first time around but now I'm kind of over Lynch's weirdness. I think Lost Highway, Blue Velvet, and Mulholland Drive were his best movies.

Rabbits is from the same mind as Twin Peaks. Try to say that is from a sane mind with a straight face.
