Turn Off Tivo Startup Video?

    Is it possible to turn off the Tivo startup video? It just adds to the startup time when I restart my Tivo and I don't need to watch it again after seeing it once.

    You can just hit a key on the remote when it shows up.. (at least if it works the same as TivoHD & S3, which it probably does)

    But is there a way to stop it from even automatically playing during each startup?

    No. Nor has there been on any model of Tivo.

    How often is your TiVo rebooting? Mine hasn't rebooted in almost 2 months. I never actually watch it while it reboots anyways.

    It's not question of how often my Tivo reboots, which it doesn't. But when I need to troubleshoot an issue and I restart the box, I don't want the video to start up all the time.

    And on day one of owning my Premiere, I've had to restart it 4 times due to issues. Starting to regret the upgrade.

    What issues? I don't know of very many issues that requires a reboot.

    I've been doing this since lately the video seems to start often when I first press the TiVo button.

    (It rebooted on its own a few times also so I think it is dying. I'm glad I purchased that 3 year warranty and saved my old TiVOHD. I may be putting it into service while my Premiere is being replaced/fixed. )

    I noticed that it comes up the first time i push the Tivo button after the system receives an emergency notice from the cable company. Either the weekly test or an actual one.

    Probably software updates. Also may not have been patient while it updated the guide data etc...
