Use the cable from your printer. Thats what I had to do the first night I brought mine home and realized I left the cable at work. It uses a standard a to b usb.

About a 15 minute wait at Callahagn around lunch time. Though that was because of two customers who were monopolizing the staff. Once I stepped up to the counter, I was out of the door in 3 minutes.

Now off to set it up and watch all of the channels I pay for!

I picked mine up at 8:10 this morning (it's nice working about a mile from the Callaghan location). Was in & out in 5 minutes. After work, I connected it, and it worked without issue. Although, I'm also not getting channels 128 & 134.

They are sending someone out on wednesday to check levels and stuff. But i told them, I get 128/134 on my TWC boxs no problems, just not on the CC tivo's. Must say, Roland at TWC has been awesome. He called me several times checking on stuff. Other than the 2 channels works like a charm. And since I dont really care about those channels its no big deal.

I had a strange problem last night after setting it up.
At first it was fine, then after some time I lost some of the SDV channels. So I followed the steps on the paper included with the TA. And pulling and reconnecting the USB fixed that. Then I lost non-SDV channels, so I power cycled the TA (troubleshooting step 2). This then got me into the "only one card tunes anything" issue from up thread.

So I pulled the TA out of the mix for now.

I did the initial install by powering off the Tivo, then physically installing the TA, and then powering on both devices as directed. Is that the right way to go?
Do I need to do something else? Call this Roland guy?

(Also not seeing 128 and 134... for whatever that's worth)

    Thanks in advance

Yeah. Im on the phone with them right now and i can now see 128 and 134.

Roland asked that I post the number here. This is ONLY for TWC San Antonio people who are having issues with the Tuning Adaptor.

    352-4560

Gotta say, their fast work and dedication to getting the TA working is awesome. Im fully operational with all channels.

Is there a solution to the "one cable card works" problem yet?

In my case I can get everything on CC 1. But on CC 2 I can get some of the HD channels, and none of the basic tier channels (at least those I've tested, 42-Disney, 47-Food, 49-TLC, and I've scanned up and down from there).

Local HD stations seem to work (104, 111, etc).

And, this problem started before I got the TA, but ESPNND (124) is gone. I can't get it on either tuner. I'm guessing that's a separate issue tho.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Your location says Florida, but if you do live in San Antonio I suggest calling the TA support phone number in the post above. Im sure they can fix whatever the issue is.

Lovely. All the sudden I have the dreaded 8 blink of death. Anyone have an idea what i need to tell the rep to fix it?

Hum. Interesting. Getting the blinks, but i can still tune the channels. Very weird.

I'm getting the exact same thing on all 3 TAs. Are you sure you are getting al the channels, though? I'm getting encrypted chanelas, but not SDV, or at least not all of them. What's you zip code? Anyone else having the problem?

I called Roland and he said it was "updating." Not sure I believe him. Like I said, strange thing is i still get all the channels.

one last thing. Seems the music channels (400 series) dont come free with the cable card/TA setup. They said its 1.00 a card to get those music channels. I said no thanks.

Hum. Now that I actually browsed some of the channels, I'm missing a bunch. GRRRRRR. Why did they have to screw with it!

After about an hour on the phone w/ the TWC cable card guys (the ones who are experienced w/ the cc and ta), they decided to send out a tech. The tech got here and he immediately knew it wasnt a hardware problem. he called back, talked to Roland, and then after Roland did something, well, it works now.

Noticed I was having some trouble this afternoon, and called up as well. Same symptoms, eight blinks. After mentioning seeing the info on this thread, the guy helping me called Roland to find out what he did earlier. Came back on the line and made some change to the authentication, and he was then able to see the box from the head end, which he couldn't previously. However, he wasn't able to actually get the box to start tuning again. Seems like it's much slower than it should be starting up, and now after a few startup blinks of the LED, it stays black. I'm hoping it'll resolve itself in time for BSG tonight, but it looks like it's back to SD for now, and off to the service center to replace the box tomorrow. I'm not too optimistic that will fix the problem, but there didn't seem to be much else to do.

I called in this morning, and got them to fix my issues, I think. They sent a hit, then I rebooted the TA. When it came back, the light went out. At the tech's request, I hit the power button, and the Tivo started its re-acquisition scan. I was late for a meeting, so I had to leave, but when I left, everything but BravoHD seemed to be working on one set. I'll check the others when I get home.
