I had this problem crop up this week. My TiVo didn't record anything for about 24 hours, when I rebooted it. Everything seems to be fine for now. But....I lost "Lost" this week. My internet is down too so I can't even watch it at abc.com! Everything is breaking all at once!

I have a single tuner standalone TiVo branded unit. Been working flawlessly since I got it 11/2003. I finally upgraded the HD sometime last year.

I also use analog cable with no box, and put the unit on standby when not using it.

I found this thread via a Google search - I'm glad we're not the only ones having this problem. When we go to a higher channel (HBO, for example, which is in the 300s) and then back to a lower-numbered channel, we see a message on the screen:

Searching for signal on: Basic Cable In.
    Switch tuners for more info.

It started happening last weekend. The Sopranos was set to record, the light came on, and it showed in the to-do list, but the recording "froze" about 5 minutes in. We rebooted, which allowed us to record the next showing, but the error message is showing up daily now.

We're using a Series 2 DT with Comcast digital cable if that makes a difference. I'll give CS a call and see if they can assist. This TiVo is only a few months old, so it shouldn't be on the fritz already.
