Yes, we think alike. :D Her contract needs to be revisited...or is it because her character is technically a teenager?

I agree with the cliffhanger to nothing episode analysis mostly. There were big parts I could have skipped over, and some of the subplots have been dragged out big time, others kind of ended without real explanation like Jason assuming he's not a wearpanther....and I guess the panthers just gave up trying to get him?

All that said, I'm still enjoying the season.

Me too. The show Alias used to do this in the early days. They eventually gave up on it......

This show has a LOT of characters. It's do hard to keep track of everyone. I don't think there is any other show on TV with as many characters as this show has. They have the cast size of a daytime soap opera.

They got to kill a couple off. They should get rid of Tommy. I can't stand him. They should also get rid of that blond chick who is helping Tara with the witch stuff. She looks like she should have played a vampire on Buffy.

Is that it for the evil baby story? I thought there was going to be some Renee involvement? Arlene has been mentioning him non-stop.

I am glad that we have been seeing more and more Nan Flanagan. I LOVE her.

Until the subject was brought up here, it didn't really occur to me that the evil baby storyline and the Mabel/ghost/Lafayette storyline were the same. I thought they just overlapped. So Mabel burst the blood vessel in Arlene's eye? Mabel was responsible for the return of the dirty doll, the writing on the wall, and the detached barbie doll heads, and the arson of their home? I thought Mabel was just passively and incorporeally there, watching over the baby and singing it lullabyes (she thought it hers), until she realized Lafayette could see her and then she jumped into Lafayette and only then could she take physical actions.

    That's what I was thinking.

I'm guessing neither Sookie nor Bill have cell phones. Otherwise, why drive all over town when you can just call him and tell him about the witch's plans.

The women on this show sure drop a lot of f-bombs.

I don't know that she had a grand plan per se, but I do think she wanted to trick Sookie into thinking they were friends until an opportunity struck, which it did. Why else take the "v"? That's the part that really gets me. What would she need the "v" for if not to try and trick Sookie?

All I can say is that Sookie looked extremely hot in that red lingerie.

To me, what triggered the Mabel/baby storyline was the doll that Jessica gave to the baby. That was the same doll that Mabel had gotten for her son. That's the only connection I saw.

One man's "hot" is another man's "eh".

Thanks - I thought something seemed off but I couldn't recall what it actually was. I posted about "Mad About You" in a different thread yesterday, so my mind was still stuck on the name Mabel, I guess. :)

The director of this show sucked. No pun intended. OK I get it the actress playing Jessica doesn't do nudity. She has always been in a bra in the past which is better than her covering her boobs! What would have been better is taking a better angle keeping her arms down to her side and she would not have had to cover her boobs. What's more is why did they go do it in the back of the truck? They were standing in the doorway of a huge mansion with probably 10 bedrooms they could have used.

My guess is they are setting up Lafayette and Jesus to take down the witch. That's how they'll bring the two story lines together.

That was also my problem with that scene! WTF are they doing in that truck??!! Bill has redecorated that lovely mansion, and I'm sure there is a room for Jessica in there somewhere. Use it for crying out loud. :p

As for the boob issue, if Carrie Bradshaw could keep her bra on during sex all those years, Jessica can too, I guess. That covering the boobs thing was silly.

But I don't see why she would have thought that V would be useful for that?

If I had to guess how V would affect Sookie's ability, I would think that it would make it more difficult for Sookie to read her mind---make it cloudy or impossible---certainly not allow Debbie to "lie" to Sookie...

maybe it allowed her to concentrate more so she could THINK the lie along with speaking it.

Well Sookie can't read vampires, maybe consuming some V would shield her from Sookie temporarily
