To the cameraman and director of the Jessica/Jason love scene - screw you!

Overall I was kind of bored, until the cliffhanger of course.

Looked like the actress wasn't willing to do the Full Monty (or even the Half Monty).

I agree, this was a "not going anywhere" episode. They could have left it out completely (or at least done the entire thing in about 5 minutes).

Looks like the writers are having a little fun at the expense of the book readers. It'll be quite a twist if Sookie and Debbie end up being friends.

I for one am beginning to get annoyed at each episode's cliffhanger that turns into nothing the following week.

Jessica is going to walk into the sun - Jason saves her in 4 seconds.

Big fight in the woods - Sookie is shot - fight over - Sookie is healed - nothing happens.

Vampires attack under the spell of the witch. Sookie yells run. I already know where this is going next week.

Can't somebody just kill that witch already - she's more annoying than the cliffhangers.

I liked the scene with Sookie and Tara. I'm surprised that Tara had to tell Sookie to listen. But I would think "Bill's at the whatever hotel" is something that Sookie or someone else on Bill's side would know.

Also uncharacteristically stupid of Sookie (by that I means stupider than usual) not to think through that Eric is under a spell. If he's still with the witches, then he's under a spell.

I'm confused about Debbie. She's back on V. She's helping Sookie. Are we supposed to hold open the idea that she might still have an ulterior motive?

Hopefully this is the end of the evil baby storyline. Still doesn't make much sense, though. Did this spirit inhabit a medium before Lafayette, and, if not, WTH was going on?

The threesome dream? Yep, this is a show for women.

Seems like the baby is a medium.

LOL, when Sookie stood up and took off her robe my wife hollered out "get that girl a cheeseburger!"

    I didn't say anything... ;)

I said she is showing too much rib! A skinny girl is one thing, seeing multiple ribs is another

I didn't watch the prior seasons of True Blood when they initially aired. I watched them all over the span of a few weeks before this season began. I loved them. This, then, is the first season where I am watching one episode per week. I'm not sure if the difference in viewing style is impacting my perception of the show or whether the show has actually taken a nose-dive in terms of quality this season, but for whatever reason this season really isn't doing it for me and I found this episode was particularly bad. I'm sorry for the thread-crap. I really do want to like the show again. I hope the remaining three episodes this season pull everything together in a satisfying way.

I think part of the problem I'm having is with character motivation. I feel like I don't really know who to root for at this point. Are the witches the good guys, or the vampires? Or neither? What happened to the fairies? And how do the werewolves fit in to all of this? Also, I feel like I didn't understand the whole subplot with Tommy this episode. Can someone explain to me what happened and why Tommy did what he did? Was Tommy intentionally sacrificing himself for Sam's benefit, by pretending to be Sam and provoking the alpha? Or did Tommy simply not appreciate what he was getting himself into? Or was he trying to create a bigger problem for Sam? I just had trouble figuring that whole bit out.

I don't think we the viewers are supposed to know what Tommy is doing. Not yet anyway.

We weren't really shown why he did what he did, so his motivation is not clear. I think he intentionally put himself in that position because he wanted to be beat up. But maybe not. Tommy is not super bright, as he has demonstrated repeatedly. I think we'll find out more about his motivation in the next ep or two.

I think Tommy was trying to help Sam out. He should have realized that when they beat him up, he's shift back to himself. But Tommy is not so bright.

The subplot with Sam, the girlfriend and the daughter didn't make much sense. An abusive warewolf is looking for his daughter. So you take her ... into the woods? And sleep her in a separate tent?

My hope is that Tommy is finally well and truly beat to death and out of this show. I'm tired of the tease where he does something redeeming and then immediately turns around and screws things up even worse than before.

I like this season more than most, so far. Am I in the minority??

I didn't see it that way at all. She told Marnie/Antonia that she brought Sookie to her. I don't think Debbie expected her to get away, which is why she was upset when Sookie came running up to the car. She wanted Marnie/Antonia to kill her is how I saw it.

That scene must have been AWK WARD to film, with the husband and the wife and, well, the other guy. :D
That's how I read it...he was trying to take the blame for the relationship.

Which would never have worked anyway, but as you say, what with the brightness and the not so much.

I saw it as she was legit trying to help her, but then when she said that Sookie was going to get caught (and probably give her away too) she said LOOK at Sookie, see I'm on your side (now)

That wouldn't explain why she took the "v" though. My guess is she took that to help her fool Sookie when she read her mind. If she was really trying to be friends with Sookie, there's no need for the "v".

So her grand plan was to trick Sookie into thinking she was there to help and then wing it after that in the hope that she could somehow mess with her?
