    Hi all
My beloved TivoHD is only sending part of the programs that I am sending from my mac 10.8.5, I seem to get the first 30/40 min/ of a 160 min/ movie and then it just stops sending. I have noticed that while downloading anything form the www at the same time I don't get the problem of not seeming a saved movie etc to my Tivo it seem like my TP Link modem might be going to sleep while on the job. Any ideas to fix this would be great.
Note that issue has only starting happening the last couple of weeks.
    Cheers

My iMac has pyTivoX installed and with this program I send movies to my TivoHD via WiFi.
This worked for years but the last few weeks I only get half of the movies sent to my Tivo, "looks like I am loosing connection"
I have noticed that while I am active on the Internet I have constant communication between my pyTivox and my Tivo and all the movies are transferred across and connection isn't lost.
    Thanks

Do you mean your TP Link router might be timing out and causing a problem? Or do you have something more exotic like a dsl modem/router?

Are both the mac and the tivo connected wirelessly to your router?

    What troubleshooting have you completed?

Have you rebooted everything involved? (Router, tivo, mac, etc)

Have you used any of the available smartphone apps to see if the wireless channel your router is using is too crowded and causing disruption? ( Or if the signal strength is not good)

Has the Tivo HD gotten any software updates recently? (The newer units have recently gotten several updates)

Has your Mac gotten any software updates or configuration changes?

Im not a mac guy, but are the power saving features set correctly? Is the Mac set to go to sleep after 30-40 minutes?

Do you mean that when the iMac is actively surfing the internet, it will also reliably send a file to the TiVo, but when it's not it won't?

Darn.... we're still missing that all-seeing eye that can divine the pertinent details of a problem without requiring six posts. :p

I have a 4/5 year old TP Link TD-W8960N Moden Router this is wired to my mac and to the the Tivo is wireless.
When I reboot the TiVo all works fine for a few hours and then it seems to play up again, I should add that My Tivo doesn't aways find my mac and the only war to fix it is open pyTivoX and click the green Apply tic and this usually fix's it and if not I restart the Tivo and this will always fix it.
Regarding the signal strength I don't now how to check it I only have a un-smart phone Nokia with the windows Lumia 610. (piece of Crap) just doesn't like my mac computer.
The Mac is upto date OS10.8.5
The Tivo Software is unto date - 11.3b6-01-2-663.
The internet connection to the Tivo is 47%
The wireless adapter is running on 42%
The Mac hard drive will go to sleep after 15 min but will wake for internet connections

    Thanks again

Is this Tivo HD a non-USA model? The software version (found in Messages & Settings .... Account & System Information .... System Information) should be 11.0m-01-2-652 if it's in the USA and up to date. What is the actual model number of the Tivo? The Tivo HD is either 652xxxxxx ot 658xxxxxx. The Series 3 (S3 or OLED model) is 648xxxxx. But even that model should be on 11.0m, at least in the USA.

Is your country another little piece of info you've neglected to reveal? :D

Whenever networking is involved, my standard advice is to give everything on your home network that doesn't leave the house a fixed IP address.

It might help, and I've yet to hear anything to convince me that it could possibly hurt.
