What gives? Each time I record a tv show OTA, my recording starts with an obnoxious trailer of some description. This just started recently. I was not aware that my monthly subscription includes advertisement that I did not record, nor desire too see.
I for one am not happy.

And yes, even absent this you signed up for advertisements, pause bar, thumbs up for advertisers, home screen have all be attempted before.

I went thru chat, saved the recorded session where they agreed to turn it off. Would take 2-3 days a week later still waiting. Needless to say I am pissed

Just downgrade to TE3. It's better and no ads.

I switched to an all-in Bork OTA and cut cable. Not an option

Does anyone know if they can be blocked through router settings?

Yes. See the thread linked in post #2. There are a few URLs that can be blocked at the router level.
