    No thread yet?

I thought it was a good episode. Crazy challenge too, to find your food, kitchen etc.

Sad to see Grayson go. I watched Last Chance kitchen and correctly guessed they wouldn't tell us who won until next Wed. show.

Does anyone think Grayson has a chance? Bev making it back just seems like too much of a good storyline to not happen, even thought I'd like to see Grayson back in the show.

There HAD to be some pre-show restaurant recon done by Top Chef producers, right? There have to be insurance issues galore in allowing some random person to cook in your kitchen, and I was stunned that they all readily agreed when asked.

Oh yeah for sure. Probably gave them a list of places along with any other dos and don't for the task.

Grayson balancing the tray of chicken on her hand for the bike ride was so risky. She takes that ride again and I bet she bites it.

Yeah, the restaurants had to have been set up beforehand. In fact, didn't one of the chefs say that they got lost on the way to a restaurant while biking? If she was lost, she had to have directions to a restaurant, no? Otherwise she would have just gone into any random restaurant.

I did love how the B&B owner made Ed cook an order of eggs.

Clearly the restaurants were arranged in advance.

Paul Reubens is getting a bit old to play Pee Wee. :( He had one or two funny lines, but over all I though he added zero to the show. Bring back Charlize!

I was amazed that she made the chicken bike ride without losing it!

ITA about the PeeWee. Always liked him a lot, but he's just barely managing the character at this point. I still remember first seeing Reubens on a Cheech and Chong movie back 'in the day'. :D

I was thinking of starting a thread but really didn't have much to say other than - sorry Grayson is gone and man does Pee Wee look...well...like they slathered some stuff on his face with a trowel. I did like the quickfire where he kept saying "best (insert food dish here) I ever tasted."

I'm still not completely sure why Grayson was sent home. Ed had undercooked chicken and Sarah eggs weren't seasoned. Was she really sent home for having tomatoes and a big piece of chicken?

    +1.

Undercooking chicken should be Top Chef suicide. Having a chicken breast that's too large.....wtf?

I made a comment to my wife that Greyson just can't help herself from making "mid-west" sized portions. Every dish she made could feed 3 people!

Lol thats true. I remember that huge steak from an earlier comp. Whatever restaurant she heads you'll be taking extra home. :)

I really did not like this challenge in that way way way too much stuff is going on behind the scenes, and what is presented can not be a fair representation of what was actually going on. They presented this as the chefs went out into the wild city and had to hunt around to find a restaurant that would just happen to allow a stranger and camera crew into their kitchen, but we all know that that could not have literally been the case. There is always stuff that goes on that we are not shown, like when the actual rules of the challenge are presented to the contestants, but this one went way over the top.

my big problem was that they just ended up "buying" ingredients from the kitchen they cooked in rather than from the market which the instructions stated.

My favorite was that the one chef had to cook some eggs for the b&b!
