You are right, I could watch it on my laptop. It's just much more comfortable watching on the TV.

If you have a Roku you can use the Bravo app to watch LCK on your tv.

I also want Sheldon or Shirley to win it. I'd take the winner of LCK as my second choice. And no interest in John winning it.

Interesting that three of the contestants were paired with their spouses for the Quick Fire, while Brooke was paired with her sister. Brooke's husband is a chef, so I'm wondering if the producers thought that would be an unfair advantage.

I figured that was exactly the reason Brooke got paired with her sister.

I was surprised that only Sheldon recognized his spouse/sister's voice!

EXACTLY!!! Who can't recognize their own spouse's voice? That was just strange!

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought that. If it was a friend, maybe I could understand. With the stress and commotion. But a spouse?! Seriously?!

I also thought not recognizing the loved ones' voices was strange. Especially so for the cheftestant (I think it was Brooke), who remembered seeing this challenge on Top Chef Masters -- where the partners also were loved ones. You'd think that would have given her a clue.

So, Dallas' most hate chef is out.

I'm ok with it, but if he had made it all the way and won, I would have been totally happy for him as well.

    Go Sheldon!

A couple lines I liked. I wrote(typed) the first one when I heard it. Then the second one? Gold. Apparently chewy is not necessarily good.
Pairing John and Katsuji was obviously Brooke's attempt at sabotage, but it sounds like what Katsuji made to go around the rim of John's margarita was really good.
Richard mentioned twice that John's margarita was just tequila. Hyperbole? John said he used two parts tequila, one part each lime juice and orange liquor. Strong, but not straight tequila. Personally, I go equal parts of all three. Unless I get lazy. Then it is just tequila and Fresca. ;)
In any case, fun to see Brooke win the Quickfire and Elimination challenge, seeing as she returned from LCK and lost her season to a returnee. My fave, Kristen.

At this point, I don't really have a favorite. Probably Sheldon, but Shirely and Brooke would be fine by me, too.

The 'orange liqueur' John used was Patron Citron, so it was almost pure alcohol. Certainly more than would want in a cocktail, and positively too much if I was having to try four in a short space of time. I can see how it would overpower all but the strongest flavors.

I thought he used lime juice, too? He said lime juice when he was talking bout about the recipe he used (before the challenge).

2/1/1 is pretty close to a standard ratio for margaritas. Citronge / Grand Marnier / Cointreau all are 40% abv and great in margaritas.

I'm screaming BS on this. There is no possible way I couldn't recognize my wife's voice or even a family member.

Anyway, it was a bummer to see Casey go. She got dinged for an extra grain of salt and also for one grain too few (even though that wasn't what sent her home)

Haven't been able to watch this season regularly but I did get to binge on Bravo last night.

    A few notes:

Glad to see John go. He's a bit of a rick with a p imo.
I like the final... final 3. All good chefs imo.
Hated to see Sheldon go, I think he's got real game.
Probably rooting for Brooke but wouldn't be bothered if Shirley won.

    <# begin rant>

What they did to the final 3 was amateur hour, total crap! Forcing them to cook over an open fire with an extremely limited pantry and basically no tools! Are you F'ing kidding me?!

That's fine for Ep.4 But when they're down to the final 3 I want them to be given the opportunity to shine! No excuses, no flukey winners/losers, no gimmicks. This is 'Top Chef' not 'Cutthroat Kitchen'!!

Maybe they'll have Brooke and Shirley on pogo sticks for the finale...

    <# end rant>

Initially I thought the same thing. Then I saw them interact.

If you want to see what a happy, loving marriage looks like then look to Sheldon and his wife.

If you want to see what a "I'm trapped in a nightmare marriage until the kids go to college" looks like then look to John.

I'll wager that's the most words they've exchanged in years....

I thought Sheldon was being quite smart by waiting to see how the girls cooked their fish. Then he said he did it so he could do his dish differently. I knew then he was likely doomed.
