Her meal for the elimination was horrible.

I was dying at all the chefs reaction. It was a terrible idea and execution.

Katsuji continues to annoy the heck out of me. But I have to admit that of all the food I saw, I wanted to taste his most of any of them. But he's still a jerk (or just acts like one).

    Resurrecting the thread:
Two weeks ago -- someone actually gives up immunity (I forget the name). This has been talked about several times before in prior seasons, but he actually has the guts to throw himself on the sword. Saves Emily for another week (my wife refers to her as The Cat -- has nine lives).

And last week: Katsuji is gone (last week - Restaurant Wars) -- although I thought John should have been gone. Katsuji had at least one redeeming item -- the Beef Tongue was a favorite dish. John screwed up the expediting system and his one dish (Crab Pimento Cheese -- bad idea poorly executed). Katsuji goes home as much for his choices and attitude as his cooking.

And finally this week: Emily uses up her 9th (or maybe 8th, since there is always LCK) life. Good riddance to bad cooking.

    And then there were 6.

As much as I dislike Katsuji (which is a great deal, ever since his first time on TC), I totally agree that it should have been John last week. The new John is so much better, so it's nothing personal (as I could not stand him previously). But fair is fair.

As to this week - freaking YAY that they eliminated her. She was the perfect one to get the ax. If it were anybody else, I probably would have dumped the season. No, I didn't like her either, but she really was the one who should have been eliminated.

This week - I feel like I cannot stand another minute of Shirley. Granted, people who never STFU make me crazy, but I was pretty sure she was getting the ax for her submission but, instead, it was the last new guy.

I like Shirley. I'm just so glad that useless, whiny, sad sack Emily is finally gone. She stuck around a lot longer than she deserved, IMO.

So now there are two LCK contestants. Not sure how that is going to work -- will there be a double elimination next time? Or just an extra battle between the last 2 left?

Emily has been annoying (or at least, portrayed as annoying) the whole season. Charleston has some amazing food and amazing chefs and it was dumb that she was the local representative all this time.

My wife and I wondered the same thing about LCK. Looking forward to finding out!

They've at least been better about not spoiling LCK. A few times in the past I had to make sure to watch each LCK before the next episode since they'd leak too much about it.

If you watch the last LCK they will NOT reveal who won and is going to the finale.

    I also dislike Katsuji.
BUT - I still cannot stand John and have NO idea how he's gotten this far in the competition - the apathy he showed towards his wife - OMG - it was like she was stealing his thunder and he wanted nothing to do with her. He creeps me out.

I still think this is Shirley's to lose, which she almost did last week!

I would be happy with her or Sheldon winning. Of course, there's still a wild card LCK winner to consider.

Throughout the season, Shirley and Sheldon have most often produced the dishes I'd most like to try. With a few exceptions, both have made great tasting food, based on the judges feedback. They've been my favorites, so I'm happy to see them in the finals and bet one of them will win. John? No. The two surviving chef's in LCK? Either is fine in the finals, but I don't think either can win.

Speaking of LCK, any idea when they'll show the 'last' one, which will determine the winner?

We've SEEN the last one, the winner of which will be in the next episode of regular TC. They never reveal the winner of the last one, rather they leave it as a surprise in the TV show.

LCK is an internet series and should not be ruled by ANY on-demand service! Comcast doesn't stop you going to bravo.com does it????
