    Pembroke...
I just bought two of the TivoSlide remotes at Amazon. They were $51.98 each. What a great deal.

That is a great deal. I paid $90 a little less than a year ago. Thanks for letting us know!

Seems they're having a price war with EE.

Just for yuks, I've been watching that 'battle' for a couple of weeks. About two weeks ago the slide was at $64 (EE was staying about $1 less than Amazon) and dropped steadily (day by day, hour by hour?) til it hit $47.52 late this afternoon. Then this evening EE jumped up about $1, and soon Amazon followed. Interesting games the etailers play!

I'd never even heard of Electronics Expo. Sounds like Amazon likes to crawl around the web, and always show up as the least expensive option. Works for me... competition like this is great for the customer!

Meanwhile, I have no need for a 2nd Slide remote, but I hope the price stays low, should I ever need a replacement. It's been a great solution for me as I share my TiVo between two rooms and the Bluetooth Slide remote has been very reliable in the 2nd room. The IR-over-Coax I'd set up previously just got too flaky, and I don't like using an iPhone/iPad a primary remote. The Bluetooth works just fine.

EE has always been one of those electronic stores that sells stuff pretty cheap. They were one of the ones who sold TiVos for $149 before the price drop and sometimes even cheaper after coupons.

Still at 47.52 today. Just picked one up. I was temped to pick up another as a spare, but that's silly... Odds are by the time I actually need a spare, Tivo will have something even better.

I bought the TIVO slide and I don't like it. It has a delay in responding that is so annoying it is unusable. I have changed the batteries and re-boot the system. Buyer beware on these.

No delay here either, and I'm using it in a different room. The TiVo Premiere is in the living room and I use this Slide remote in the bedroom. (The Premiere uses HDMI to the living room TV and component to the bedroom TV.)

No delay here either. Occasionally I will get double letters in search if I am at the edge of the limit in the range.

I've only have a delay on the first button press after a period of inactivity.
Once the TivoHD realizes it needs to recognize the remote, there is no delay.

    No delay here either.

Do check the position of your receiver; I used a little USB extension to locate mine toward the front of my equipment rack. When the receiver was physically plugged into the back of the Tivo, it would frequently buffer and delay commands (symptoms being commands delayed and/or a whole bunch of buffered button presses going through very fast). Once relocated, no problems whatsoever.

Yes, same exact experience as smbaker above. The USB extension came with the remote, actually. I just used that to give the Bluetooth dongle some room, it's now dangling off to the side instead of sticking directly into the back of the Premiere unit... and the remote works much better than it was before (and is 100% responsive.)

Can more than one of these remotes be used with the same Tivo? As in, can I set up a single Tivo with a his and hers pair of them?

AFAIK, no one has posted that they were successful in pairing 2 slides with 1 Tivo.

Here's the last thread I've seen on the subject:
