So I was speaking (typing) with a Charter tech rep today, and inquired about getting an M-card for a TivoHD in the event I buy another Tivo. I was promptly told that yes I can get an M-card. Great news for me, right? Soon after that, I was told "we do not support M-card in Tivo's, only in Motorola STB's". So I am thinking a few things: 1) Rep doesnt have a clue 2) M-card will work just fine in the TivoHD, as its advertised to support it 3) Could the rep be un-aware of TivoHD, and thinking of the S3 not supporting the M-card 4) Is there something Charter can do at their cable plant to make an M-card act as an S-card inside a TivoHD, thereby making what the Rep said true? Just want to know how to proceed on this, whether I should risk asking for an M-card, or pay for 2 S-cards and be done with it?
