1st post here......I am considering buying TiVo, and have a USB question.

Is it possible to use a jump drive via the USB port on TiVo to transfer DVR recorded material onto the jump drive, so I could record the McLaughlan Group via TiVo, transfer it to the jump drive, and watch it later on my laptop while at the airport, etc? I am about to start blogging, and would rather put items on a jump drive vs DVD.

No, it is not. With a network enabled TiVo, you can transfer shows to your PC and then load them onto a portable device.
