I have a Series 2, and a new Series 3. I am not using them concurrently, so I ended my TiVo service with my Series 2, about 1 month ago. Today, I fired it up as there were still some show son there I wanted to get. Now however, I cannot connect to it. I have TiVo to go on a PC, and it says access is denied (MAK is correct). I have a Mac that can see the TiVo and the TiVo widget can see it, but will not display what is "Now Playing".

So my question is...Does TiVo to go end with my subscription?

    Thanks,

The TiVo has no functionality outside of the live buffer and playing back previously recorded shows unless it is activated. To use the DVR functionality, record, TiVo Cast, TTG, etc....the TiVo must be activated.

I have a slightly similar situation, but a different question -- I upgraded to a Series 3 and cancelled my old Series 2. Did my MAK change when I changed boxes?

In other words, is the MAK linked to the box or to the account?

To the account, but it can take a day or so before your TiVo gets the information.
