I surprisingly couldn't find any rips of the TiVo's interface sound effects on YouTube. So, I did it myself.

I have an MP3 of badoop badoop badoop thanks to the Elf Queen. It's now my text tone for my daughter.

Hey Dave Zatz, you're a well-known name in the TiVo community.

I knew about that page, but it sounds like they ripped them using line-in. The ones I have sound more clear.

I extracted the WAV files from @ggieseke's program - DvrBARS, which uses the sounds for its interface. I'm not sure how he got them (but I'd love to hear how!)

The android app has wav files for up/down, tivo central, select, page up, page down, bonk, and alert.

Sound effects? You mean everyone doesn't turn them off immediately?

(sarcastic, since I do know some don't, and have heard the noises used in TV shows etc.. but like I have computer audio turned off 99% of the time, I don't want things making noises at me. I get feedback via other means that my remote press worked)

I know someone posted them above, but I did include the wav files in the video description. Sorry, should have put them up here.

They were copied from the OS partition on a Premiere as raw PCM files and converted to WAV files with Audacity.

    Thanks for the info.

What did you use to extract stuff from the OS partition? I've had a hard time trying to figure out how to do that (and how to mount it).

If you used mfstools, please send me a command.

In the process of writing DvrBARS I wrote my own Ext2 interpreter, which is what I used. Now they use squashfs on Premieres so it doesn't work anymore.

I think I am one of the rare people that hated TiVo sound effects. I make a lot of music in my free time, and I know a thing or two about a good sound effect. I also wanted to turn them off, but I could never do it.
The best thing would be if we could change them to whatever we want. I would choose some stock sounds from Depositphotos because they're fantastic. They could at least make it possible to select sound effects.
I know that this is not such a big problem for most people, but some are more sensitive to this. It would be nice to have a choice for this...

I started getting bloop bloops recently although I am in dolby according to Tivo and my Yamaha receiver. Any ide why this would happen? I muted the sound effects then went back in and set them to low and I hear nothing now.
