    Hello,

    I have a Tivo Serie 2 that I was using with my old TV. The old TV died early January. Since then, I bought a new HD TV (Vizio) as well as a Tivo Premiere. The Tivo Premiere just arrived.

    I have no problem using my old Tivo Serie 2 (loaded with recordings) with my new TV. However, I would like to start using my new Tivo Premiere while still been able to access my recordings on my old Tivo.

    Is it possible to have two Tivos connected to the same TV? If it is, how?

    Thanks for your help.

    Have each on different inputs, premiere on HDMI, but the S2 can only hook up to composite (yellow, with white/red audio).

    I have a Series II connected with the infamous yellow, white and red cables and my Tivo HD connected with an HDMI cable. My HD TV has plenty of inputs as I suspect they all do. Everything is looking good. Yes, I do occassionally want to record three things at once.

    My TV is a bit older so I don't know about newer models but if all else fails I have separate 75 ohm inputs for OTA antenna & cable. S2 can use one of those perhaps?

    S2 should be able to put out an analog (the way over the air TV was until a couple of years ago) channel 3 or 4 signal from it's RF output, which is right under the RF input. They're both those threaded things.

    You use separate inputs.

    The Premiere with HDMI likely, or possibly component. The Series 2 will connect with composite or S-video.

    To control them , toy set each TiVo and its remote or switch position, to separate addresses other than zero.

    Thanks for all your help.

    I followed your suggestions and now I am able to access both Tivos.

    Here is what I did in case someone else is interested:

    1. connected my Cable cable to my Tivo Premiere;
    2. connected my Tivo Premiere to my HD TV via the HDMI cable;
    3. set my Tivo Premiere remote address to '1';
    4. connected my Tivo Serie 2 to my my HD TV via the RF cable;
    5. set my Tivo Serie 2 remote address to '2'.

    Now, I simply have to switch my TV input to access one or the other Tivo.

    So you're doing this without any antenna/cable input to the S2 and just using it as a source for the shows already recorded on it?

    So why not split the cable cable so that you got cable input to the S2? You never know when you may need a 3rd or 4th tuner. :D
