Thanks for the feedback on the computer fans. I've considered this in the past for the entire cabinet. It does get warm in there though the holes I cut in it helped greatly. I may just try a fan...maybe mount one on the back of the cabinet behind the Roamio. Maybe position it to push air towards the gap beneath the Roamio. I wonder this would work over a period of time regarding dust? Just by lifting the Roamio a little over an inch I've reduced temp by 3-degrees Celsius, definitely worth he effort.

Check Amazon. There are filters that mount to many 120mm fans. I have one on my Mini that holds up the wireless bridge that feeds the Mini. On low speed it needs cleaning every 3 months.

Lots to choose from on the filters. Another day, another project.<sigh> I guess my lower temperature was for some reason a temporary(?) situation. Turned the Roamio on last night at the temperature was back at 43.

Don't forget: air comes in from the left and exits to the right. BTW, 43C isn't bad, just not great. Expect a slight rise during service connections and file transfers.

Hmm, I turned everything on and the Tivo was recording a program. Temp was at 40c, ambient at 73F. I'd like it a little cooler, but it's apparently within range. I'll keep an eye on it and might pursue the fan option later. Thanks for the feedback. Ed

It's plenty cool in the room where my Roamio is but the fan seems to make a lot of noise. I would turn it off at night hoping that might help, but I'm afraid of forgetting to turn it on again.
