My series 1 Tivo is working as well as ever via the new EPG, however I have just had a new VM Tivo installed and the realisation dawned.

My series 1 was fed from a standard Samsung VM box without problem, this has now been replaced by the latest Tivo but I hadn't thought through what this means. If I want to record a program now on my series 1 then I would have to link it to the new Tivo to source the signal, but obviously I would simply use the new Tivo itself to record it.

I guess I could buy a cheap freeview box as my Tivo input source but cable is no longer an option. :(

I'd recommend the Sony VTX-D800U. Small, decent picture quality, works perfectly with my TiVo and you can pick them up second hand for less than £15.

    Hanworth....
Remote will be needed to enable retune. A reprogrammable remote may do the job.
