I work as an IT tech & noticed that the new TiVo Bolt VOX (made by Arris with 6 tuners) with the following firmware 21.9.6V5-USC-11-849 wasn't associating any frequency with 56 of the 111 channels that we broadcast. I contacted my cable provider & they provided me with the following frequencies (listed below) for the missing channels & I sent them to TiVo & now I am missing all 111 channels. I've called TiVo several times & I've asked my cable provider if they have any way of contacting TiVo to have a conference call to resolve this issue. All of the TiVo's on 21.9.6V4-USC-11-849 have no issue getting all 111 channels.

We have a technicolor COM 400 & 16 direct TV boxes. The information below is what my cable provider gave me to send to TiVo. Can anyone help me figure out why I'm missing all of our channels so I can resubmit a listing to TiVo so we can use the new TiVo devices? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This may be beyond my skill set.
First, the "we broadcast". Do you mean "we receive"?
When you got the Bolt VOX, who paired the cable card?
    Who is your cable provider?

I figured I would get that from the pairing question. There is much in that post that was telling me to stay away, but I had a weak moment.

I do not have a cable card for any of our TiVo devices however they worked prior to this latest update & as long as I don't update the TiVo to . I know everyone says that you HAVE to have a cable card in order to get the TV information but this is not true. I've setup 20-30 TiVo Premier's, TiVO Romio's & TiVO bolt & Tivo Bolt VOX's without any cable cards & they are all still working. As I go through the guided setup midway through it asks for my zip code & once I put that information in it pulls the 2 weeks of TV information. Our provider is not direct TV however they do use Direct TV's satellites.

As I understand it now, you have a custom setup like Senior TV with unencrypted QAM channels. For that you need TiVo to create a custom lineup for you.

Joe, It may have been released last year but I haven't had any issues until 12/29/19 which is when our team first noticed this issue.

After you picked the zip code in setup, the TiVo (if I recall correctly) should have had you pick a provider. What provider are you picking, and are you sure that's the one you picked on the older TiVos? Either way, it's a new one on me that the provider is expecting the customer to interface with TiVo and provide the lineup info. I thought the providers always did that.

Our provider is Senior TV, you would think that they would be the ones addressing this with TiVo however the only thing that they've done is test our DB sound to noise ratio which falls into the 29 - 35 ratio & give me the frequencies that wiped out the 56 channels I did have. I did several spot checks throughout the campus & the signal strength is not the issue.

RPJ22 I can find my provider when going through the guided setup & all 111 channels are displaying the content on those channels properly. However, every channel either has a V52 or a D262 error.

Our cable provider doesn't have cable cards which I thought was something every cable company has to have according to the FCC. I'm not sure if this would resolve all of our issues but it's not even an option to me which is also frustrating.

My boss asked me the same thing & I told him that I went through the guided set up at least 10 - 15 times on each of the new 2 TiVo bolt Vox's I tried setting up.

Did you do step 9 of the install instructions? https://seniortv.com/pdf/tivo-setup.pdf

Step 9: Scan your channels to store them into memory of TiVo.
    a) Press the TiVo button on your remote to bring up the TiVo Central screen
    b) Scroll to Messages and Settings and press Select on your remote
    c) Select Settings
    d) Select Channels
    e) Select Channel Scan
    f) Select Scan for Channels

They only have to provide CableCards if you are on an encrypted cable system and CableCards are required to receive the channels.

Your system, being a "clear QAM" (in other words - unencrypted) system, does not require Cablecards, and therefore Senior TV is not required to provide them. (The major function of a CableCard is to decrypt encrypted cable channels. They would do no good on your system.)

Then a simple test is to connect a TV to the cable and have it scan the channels and note the channel numbers. My system has 400 channels. Of those two are clear QAM: 8.4 and 82.3, so something is making whole numbers. Or the whole system is analog and this Bolt VOX (TE4?) doesn't have an NTSC tuner. A TV channel scan answers that question.

Senior TV, which is what the OP is referring to, is a service that private communities like retirement homes, colleges and universities, apartment complex, etc. can sign up with to provide cable television to their residents. Basically, you turn into your own self-hosted cable television service for your residents.

Senior TV gives you the DirecTV dishes and a rack full of DirecTV receivers, along with the equipment to re-broadcast the specific channels you want to provide to your residents as clear QAM channels.

Although Senior TV is the provider of the technology, the retirement home or university or whatever becomes, in essence, the cable provider.

My Dad has this. The senior tv service is pretty bad. Never could get channel information work. So I just bought an Antenna an the TiVo just records the shows from that. He mostly uses. The cable system for ESPN and the golf channel. The picture quality is pretty bad. But being seniors I guess they don’t complain about it.
