I have a TIVO HD with a hard drive (WD) connected via eSata. Will that work on the tivo premiere?

As long as it's the supported WD one, yeah, it'll work with the Premiere.

Yes, because the Tivo marries the harddrives together so they are put into a Raid0. If you break the Raid, then you lose the data on both drives.

Please clarify. I've copied all the data from a soon to be retired series 3 with eSata connected drive. The premiere has 50+ movies on it now. If I add in the old eSata to the new premiere will I lose everything that I've already copied? Or is it just everything that was on the old eSata which I was expecting? It already took over 2 days to copy everything over.

    thx

Just everything on the old eSATA. The primary TiVo drive will not be affected.
