When TiVo rolls out updates, do they sometimes send the updates to a small population of DVRs as a test, then determine whether or not to release it to a larger audience or to all affected DVR models?

I ask because one of my TiVo HD boxes received an update to 11.0f.something some time ago while my other HD (11.0d.something) never got that update. The box that received the "0f" update recently got another update to 11.0g.something.

It kinda makes me wonder whether I was unknowingly beta testing the 11.0f release, which was found wanting and thus updated to 11.0g...

The other HD is still at 11.0d.something.

Was my one HD used as a lab rat?

We've been expecting the 11f, but 11g is new.

CS ramp is what Tivo calls that "small percentage" of DVRs that get updated first.
Tivo releases the software to a limited number of DVRs and evaluates it based on customer service feedback.
When it is deemed that there are no major problems with the software update, Tivo then releases it to everyone.

    I think I just got the 11.0f & 11.0g updates in a row.
The reason I think so is the TiVo rebooted just now, then when it was *almost* to the THX soundloop, it rebooted a second time. Then it went through the whole series of screens again.

Is there a changelog posted somewhere for each specific release to see what they "fixed"/added?
