TIVO Not Changing Channels to Record Season Pass

    Hello, We've notice on several ocassions that TIVo will not go to the correct channel to record when it is supposed to.

    For instance last night while watching TIVO, it was supposed to go to NBC (Channel 4 locally) at 8pm to record, but it went to a different channel, likewise this also happened at 9PM when it was supposed to record Desperate Housewives (ABC Channel 7 locally), it stayed on 4 (NBC). Both times it did this last night.

    We have also noticed it does this on other occasions as well.

    Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

    Try running a new guided setup and see if that might clear up the problem.

    Are you using IR? If so, that may need some tuning. (different codes/speeds, repositioning the blaster or an IR tent.)

    I'm not really familiar with anything that has to do with TIVO. Someone else hooked it up over a year ago.

    How would I run a "guided setup?"

    By pressing the TIVO button on the remote... I think you are going to have to spend some time reading the manual also. It's really not difficult... ;-)

    Go to TiVo Central by pushing the TiVo button, then click on "messages and settings" then click on "restart or reset system" then click on "repeat guided setup."

    Your TiVo will then walk you through it.
