TiVo HD stops responding to remote

    Just got one, and on day 3 or so, it stopped responding to remote commands. I seee the box orange light blinks on when I press a key on the remote, but there is no visible response from the box. This has happened several times now, about once or twice per day. When I cold reboot the box, when it comes back I can't view live tv for a while, as it has the "acquiring channels" screen with the swirly icon. When I first got it, I had some trouble activating my cable card. I'm wondering if it's related.

    At this point I'm considering if I should replace the TiVo, the cable card, or both. Anyone have a related experience or comments?

    Potato and pen.
    Phone TiVo and tell them this.

    They'll likely replace the box.

    Sadly, you'll need to do another card install when the replacement gets there.
