I have an old tivo hd with lifetime service on it. It has a small HD. Holds about 20 hours of hd recordings. It goes through a repeated boot up. Other problems are the right cable card slot button is broke... so I can put the card IN, but to take it out, I need to use needle nose pliers...

Why is it in a reboot loop? Is this a sign of a bad drive? Can that button be repaired?

or should i just donate it or replace the drive and live with the broken button?

    Thanks

My Series 3 constantly reboots after I plug it in, or change a cable card. I just replaced the power supply thinking that would fix it. Any other suggestions

Was that a used power supply as that certainly sounds like a power supply issue? I would replace the capacitors myself if I suspected that I had a capacitor/power supply issue. Have you tested the hard drive?
