Tivo HD Issue

    I'm sure there has been a thread of this problem but I haven't found it yet but at the top of all progrmas there is a black line with white all over. How do i get rid of it other then making my hd tv zoom in.

    Other than just watching HD content only, you would probably need to turn on overscan emulation on your display (turn off perfect pixel mapping or whatever your display calls it).

    That's the VBI. You could adjust the overscan on your TV ... usually that should be hidden by the display.

    If i set the overscan i do lose alot of video picture. is there any way on the tivo to adjust that?

    Overscan, AFAIK, is controlled by the display, not the signal source.

    Maybe try different resolutions from the TiVo? Like 720p vs. 1080i? See if one is better than the other on your display?

    There was a setting on my TV that took care of it. It is your TV, not your TiVo.
