    Hello,
I looked over the FAQ with the list of drives and i was hoping to obtain a recommendation for a 1TB drive. I noticed a post regarding the WD 10000CSR, but i can not seem to find this model online.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank You.

That model number was on the retail box and has no meaning as the model number can only be found on the drive itself. The design of the box seems to play a role in the model of the actual drive that in the box. You should re-read that post as it has all the information about that WD 1Tb drive.

I replaced my Tivo HD internal drive with the WD 1TB Green Drive model WD10EACS. I have not had any trouble with it.

How can I know I'm getting the right one as noted in the last post? Everywhere I look for drives online no-one ever specifies which one it is.

If you have a TiVO S3, no. If you have a TiVO HD, yes.

Has there been any correlation between drives, speeds, cache, and ultimate end-user usability? Basically are there faster drives out there that may speed up the menus and such of my TiVo HD?

hard drive is not the bottleneck on a TiVo. It is CPU and Memory. Faster drives are just a waste of speed in a TiVo. Look for relaibility and price.
