I am considering purchasing a Tivo DT. I currently have a DirectTV DVR. Not to bash DirectTV, but I will, what a horrible guide and reciever always freezes! I want to split the outgoing sat. signal with a diplexer to use for the DT Tivo. Will this work or will the Tivo "analog" input see this as a digital signal. If not any suggestions would be appreciated. I just want a Tivo! :)

You can't use a standalone Tivo DT with satellite. It works with cable only.

You can use the "digital" input of the DT DVR receiver fine. The other input needs to be analog cable to be able to use it.
