Once again, all of a sudden TiVo has screwed up my channel without a message of lineup change.

Some channels now no signal. Some channels have viewing content that is wrong.
Some channels have content that is supposed to be on other channels.
A couple common channels now have Spanish stations.

Checked every screwed up TiVo channel against the internal OTA tuner in my TV and everything is correct there so it is
definitely a TiVo screw up not a local channel repack.

Went online and filled out a report. Received an email confirming the report. Decided to call the next day to explain, in detail, the specific problem with each screwed up channel. Spoke to a woman for over an hour and she agreed that she understood the problems and would create a report to the lineup department.

Couple hours later I see online that the case was closed. Called TiVo again and spoke to a woman I could not understand.
    Thanked her and hung up.

Called again and spoke to a fellow who found the case number and said the case was closed automatically.
Why was the case closed when the problems still exist? He wanted me to start all over and tell him what was wrong.
I asked to speak to a supervisor. After a while I got an overseas supervisor who I could understand and she said she was looking at the case and all my complaints were listed there. I started from the beginning and described the problems with each oif the screwed up channels so I was sure she understood. She put me on hold and then said this was not a lineup problem it was an engineering problem. OK. get them to fix it.

She goes off to speak to engineering and comes back to tell me to take a picture of the guide, the picture through the TiVo for each bad channel and the picture of the TV tuner for each bad channel. She emails me with the email address to send the pictures so I do and ask them to reply they received the pictures. They never replied.

This was Wednesday and she promised to call me back on Saturday. It's half past Saturday and no problems are resolved and no phone call.

The line between poor customer service and no customer service is getting blurred...

On Wednesday TiVo instructed me to email them a video of... the TiVo guide for each effected channel, what I saw viewing the TiVo on that channel, and what I saw viewing through the TV OTA tuner.

I explained that I didn't have a way to record video buy could email still pics so I did. I also repeatedly explained to them that the TiVo guide was correct and agreed with what was being broadcast locally OTA and they could easily verify actual OTA broadcast at my location by going to that networks web site and viewing the schedule at my zip code, BUT they said "that is not our process". They can't seem to grasp that the guide is right for the actual OTA broadcast but what id being viewed through the TiVo is wrong.

    What a bunch of idiots.

Are you on cable or OTA? What box or boxes do you own and where do you live?

That happened to me when I reported a channel issue. However they did fix it, just took a few days.

Check your list of channels. Around me some have two frequencies for the exact same channel number. If you have one checked off and get no signal have to uncheck that one and check off the other. I'd scan for channels again, look at your channel list, see if any of the ones you get no signal/blank screen have two selections for that channel, they would be on different frequencies though exact same channel NUMBER.

Been there... done that... reran guided setup... rescanned channels... it's their problem and they'll have to figure it.

Ok, your problem may be different than mine. However I will post pictures for anyone else who might have the same issue as me. As you can see in these pictures, there are two channels listed for the exact same channel number. The 21 channels, ie 21-1, 21-2 etc . One of them Tivo actually has the guide info for. However the actual channels are NOT coming in on that frequency. So if you have that one checked off the Tivo will find a show, try to record it, but you will get nothing (frequency 36 in the picture). The other ones (no info in picture, they have a * next to them), are the actual frequency the stations are coming in on (frequency 21.) But there is no guide info on the Tivo. So nothing will record unless you setup a manual recording. I need to contact Tivo and somehow explain this to them. If it's worth it to me, just one channel I care about, it's 21-8, Comet. You can see I have the "blank/*" channels checked off, the ones with the actual info are unchecked as the channels are not coming in on that frequency.

Yeah, I've had it happen like that before also. However this time the channels are rather obscure. So may take awhile or even require a report to Tivo. Heck some of the originals on freq 36 don't have channel info.

Duplicate channel entries in the guide happens often along with the correct icons and program info but there's no signal.
Just uncheck the dud in the channel list.

My problem is that the guide is correct but trying to watch the channel the content is wrong or gone.

    Still fighting with these idiots.

One other thing that I ad to deal with temporarily though was one network for which they were swapping out their towers. It temporarily resulted in a frequency change on their main channel but I was lucky that it actually all worked out fine.

We all have to live through that and channel repacks when it happens.

In my instance every channel TiVo screwed up comes in just fine through the internal OTA tuner in my TV.

When it comes to TiVo ROVI is a 4 letter word.

Having similar issues, hoping it fixes itself in a couple days. It is my understanding some channels are adding ATSC 3.0 in a simulcast fashion. Not sure if this is the reason for the double channels listed with same numbers, of if they just changed frequencies. What a cluster. I suppose we will be dealing with these issues for the next 5+ years.

Submitted to Tivo support on 1/15, 3am, was fixed within an hour. Could have been coincidence.
    Double channels gone, guide fixed.

At any rate, surprised and pleased.
