It is my understanding that it isn’t possible as the cable cards only communicate in one direction. Years ago I thought they were going to come out with bi-directional cards but I have never seen them. I have an additional Spectrum box on another TV to be able to get the on-demand stuff. Someone else can chime in if they know something different than what I stated.

You can call and order anything, I would guess you could just use the chat feature. You might want to try the spectrum app, but I don't think that will do it either. Personally, I order my movies off of either amazon or google and use the app. They seem to switch off on one or the other will offer it in 4K, and they are always the same price.

    Spectrum.net

When you order a movie off spectrum, you get 24 hours from that point to watch it as many times as you want. If you don't watch it you still get charged. If you buy it off Google, you get 30 days to start it and 48 hours to watch it as many times as you want once you start it. Amazon gives you 30 days to start it, and 72 hours to watch it as many times as you want once you start it.

Amazon and google will both also offer a weekly deal.

Thanks for the explanation. Every so often I would ask Charter for an update on when the two-way cards would be available. Of course their answer was always we don’t know, not they already are two-way. But that isn’t surprising, is it?

    CableCards are not 2 way.

    CableCard 2.0 will be 2-way.

Expect release sometime around the turn of the Century...

IIRC,when I was on Cox in central Connecticut I had access to vod. Of course I had a tuning adapter as well. I think a cablecard, a tuning adapter and a cable company that is willing are all you need for 2 way communication and video on demand.

My bad...I didn't mean to imply we were discussing it...I was providing you correct information.

Nonetheless, I'll show you mine, if you show me yours:

I don't know if it is the same as On Demand but, I use the Spectrum app through my Roku and can watch any movie they are currently showing, that is in my(silver) package.
