Tivo app will not play downloaded programs

    I'm attempting to use the 4.2.3 version of the Tivo Android app on a Chromebook (Asus C302) with no success, and was wondering if this is a known issue. When I attempt to play any downloaded program the playback process appears to start but after a few seconds the app goes back to the sign in screen and reconnects to my Bolt+ as if I had just started it.

    A Google search of "Tivo app will not play downloaded programs on Chromebook" doesn't return results that indicate that indicate this is a common problem. I've reinstalled the app and rebooted my Bolt+, but beyond that haven't found anything else to attempt.

    I wanted to solicit advice here before call tech support. TIA for any input...

    I may be wrong but I believe you need a streaming device, such as the Tivo Stream, connected to your network in order to stream from your Bolt.

    This is an old post but Bolts have built-in streaming capabilities (and Roamio Plus/Pro's have a built-in Stream). Roamio Basic or OTA and Premieres would need a standalone Stream (or a Roamio Plus/Pro on the network).
