I looked at our television watching, and we only had TWO must watch non OTA programs. for that, I'm paying $60 per month. Soooo, I will have a R10 DT Tivo box collecting dust. What is it worth, especially considering there will be no outstanding debt on the box? Definitely staying with Tivo, we love the Tivo! Looking to get S3, especially with the new rebate. Got the antenna already picked out. Figure payback period somewhere around one year.

Any reason to even bother with calling retention?

Only call retention if there is some deal that would make you stay. I don't know the value of two shows to you.

I would say the R10 holds almost no resale value beyond the value of the hard drives.

56 bucks seems about right for that hard drive.

    $56 for a used 80GB EIDE drive? I don't think so.

For a few bucks more, you can get at least a 300gb drive. Few as in probably no more han $10-$15

Fine, but what can you get an 80GB for? Supply and demand ya know.

Either way my point was that the unit has little value in the marketplace. $56 is little to me.
