Lots of action at least in this one. When I saw it was Michael Zegen impaled on the post I knew they were going to take him with. A week to get back on his feet? Carl seemed to recover quickly so I guess it's possible :)

On his feet probably means on crutches or hopping.

Well they are really playing up the Shane/Rick war and how do most wars start? Women. Camp is getting divided pretty well at this point.

Not sure why they feel the need to kill the guy just because he was with some people who tried to kill them. How did their group get formed? You had to trust people at some point.

Boy, the writer on The Talking Dead last week sure wasn't kidding when he said we'd be seeing more walkers. They were everywhere! The scene with Lori at the car was pretty intense, as was the one where they were trying to get the guy off the fence.

I liked how Herschel said "I know how to shoot. I just don't like to."

Well, to be fair, he was on a rooftop with a rifle shooting at them...

I have to say, that windshield zombie showed truly admirable persistence...

Wouldn't that be "A week to get back on his foot?"?

I was really hoping that they would leave the fence guy when all the zombies were coming at them.

That group that ditched him seems really cut throat. They wouldn't even give the roof guy time to get down, he had to jump.

He might not know why he was shooting at them. He might have just been told to get on the roof with the rifle. However that was a nice looking hunting rifle, I might have killed him just for that.

As far as I'm concerned, anybody who's on a rooftop shooting at me is a de facto bad guy.

Which doesn't mean he has to die, but it certainly puts that option on the table.

Doesn't everyone start off as bad guys? Look at the guy at the CDC. He didn't want to let them in because he was not sure what they were after, they all became friends after that. Shane just wants to kill everyone he comes upon right now, isn't the goal in a zombie apocalypse besides staying alive to find as many survivors as possible and stick together?

Right, and I'm not saying he has to die. Just that wanting to kill somebody who we last saw on a rooftop trying to kill us isn't in itself an insane idea.

And there we have the difference between Rick and Shane. Shane would have walked over to him and capped him and Rick wants to save him then make a decision. Shane is dangerous and his growing more dangerous.

I thought they were going to mercy kill him. And I thought Herschel would be the one to do it.

It's going to be a lot longer than a week, and they'll have to keep him hooded, and fed. I think it's going to be a major point of contention.

    The face-peeling walker was awesome.

Too bad Shane knows about the baby, he'll never leave now. Would have been nice to see him run off with Blondie and be a regular old Bonnie and Clyde.

I hope Glenn is able to get some of his mojo back.

It looks like there's some attempt at a coup being fomented. Who does Shane think is going to be on his side vs. Rick's?

I think Darrell heads off (maybe even on his own), Blondie and Shane, maybe T-dog goes, but I actually think he'd stick with Rick. The rest of them certainly will.

Are we going to see a two men enter, one man leaves show-down between Rick and Shane as the season's cliffhanger?

Shane wouldn't have wasted the bullet. He would have just left him.

I don't like Laurie but I thought she finally did a good thing at the end getting Rick to see the danger that Shane poses. Rick did not want to accept that his friend wasn't just impulsive but was truly dangerous. Rick wants to see the best in people. I didn't see this as Laurie manipulating Rick, I saw it as helping him to see reality. I'm enjoying the set-up to a big confrontation, though I don't think Rick has a chance in a hand-to-hand fight with Shane at all.

Spoiler based on the comic books:

I wonder if we can expect to have Shane get killed by the end of the season, since in the comics he is already dead.

Interestingly I agree with blondie. Shane has done some things that needed to be done. He does a great job of protecting them. But he goes about it the wrong way, and he lets his emotions get in the way almost more than Rick does.

I thought they were going to mercy kill the kid when they couldn't cut his leg off in time.

This episode was great from start to finish, except for Carol's stupid scenes. She's a very weak character so I really hope she doesn't hook up with Darryl unless they build her character out more.

I'm almost sure (I've never read the comics) that Darryl and Carol are going to hook up.

As far as the kid goes, if the others do find them, that decision can only help them in the end.

    Responding to his Spoiler:
I really HOPE that Carl pulls the trigger. It would send the RIGHT message. He's protecting his family/father/mother/future sister. Which is what
    happened in the comic.

If I recall from another thread that the character of Darryl wasn't in the comics.
