I kind of called this portion of the results. Pharrell really torpedoed his two singers with songs that he chose. I like Pharrell as a coach and judge but his song choices were questionable.

I am 100% behind Matt at this point.

Danica's out, and so am I. The whole crop this season has been bland, and Danica was the only real stand out who could do an honest to god difficult to sing song (Whitney, Heart, Etta James)

DaNica's from here. She did a short concert in town last night (it was planned before she got bumped) and
they've been going on about a wildcard spot among recent evictees. I think that show's coming up in a week or two.

I love Heart but not that Heart song. It is a fairly wimpy 80's power ballad sung by Nancy and not Ann. It was a bit of a strange arrangement also and did not give DaNica a chance to shine like she could have with a different song.

I am not sure what you mean by bland but I kind of find myself agreeing with Blake when he said it was one of the Strongest Top 8 groups he has seen.

One singer that is definitely under whelming me with his voice is that Amish kid.

Not sure if that counts as s spoiler. They mentioned it on the show at the beginning of the live rounds. I think everyone has forgotten about it though.

Well, I was being ultra-cautious because arguably it divulged the content of a future episode. Also, to be honest I haven't been paying much attention to the series other than DaNica's participation in it, so I wasn't sure whether that "feature" had been disclosed..

I much prefer Damien as well. I hope he makes a great song choice....something folks will really connect with. His voice is amazing. But some of his songs have been a bit boring.

After tonight I think there are two sure things for the final. The third person is a big question mark.

    Definite
Matt - He killed on both his tunes. Hard to believe this is the same guy who sang the sweet version of God Only Knows a few weeks ago.

Craig - Had a solid first song and an awesome version of Old Rugged Cross. Has all of the country voting block.

    On The Bubble
Taylor - The weakest singer of the bunch. Impersonated Glen Hansard on Falling Slowly

Chris - Weak first song but came back huge on his second. He was in the bottom three last week.

Damian - Very Good first song. Average second song. I can't see the second song generating many downloads.

My guess is that Damian gets into the final 3.

    Matt and Craig for sure.

    Chris most likely 3rd finalst.

Taylor and Damien battle it out with Danica and the other bring backers for the 4th spot.

On a relisten imo Chris put himself in the finals with that Bruno Mars song at the end. I think it was the best performance of the night.

I agree it was a stellar performance but was it enough to elevate him? He was in the bottom three last week so he has that to overcome also.

He was actually in the "bottom four" last week and I think he had a much higher vote total than the other 3 who went home...I think the raw vote between 4 and 5 was very close last week.

Damien did himself no favors with song choice which is exactly what I was worried about. Michael Jackson is toxic and the second song u hit the nail on the head....not appealing for downloads.

Taylor did that song everyone does too much on these shows and then doing Taylor Swift was a bit odd. I think he is most likely in 4th and will be the bring backer. Especially if they only use twitter to decide it a la the instant save.

    Craig and Matt were no-brainers.

Chris really killed it when he needed to.

Now who will get the 4th spot???

I think it comes down to the 2 most recent elims ... Taylor and Damien. I've liked Damien's voice a bit better, but I thought Taylor nailed it tonight.
