True. I became a fan after Justified so gave this a shot.
FYI not to be picky but it's Walton, not Walter.
Watched last night, and thought is was pretty good. I’ll continue to watch if only to see Walton in an upbeat role...so unlike the other shows I’ve seen him in.
Watched the first episode and thought it was ok. If they make the dating app a major thing then that will drive me away.
I didn't like either of the best friend couples though Michelle could possibly grow on me.
I liked the daughters. I usually don't care for the kids in shows like this, but Grace and Natalie were great.
I liked the actress who played his first date (she was on Rules of Engagement) and would like to see her back.
And I love Walton. Fun to see him in a very different role than I've seen him play before.
The earlier tIme slots were the first clue that this and Perfect Harmony would be the best two of the four new Thursday night sitcoms. I'll try another episode of these two and delete the OPs of the others.
Of last week's sitcom premiers, I watched this one and Sunnyside. No contest, the Unicorn wins, even though I was predisposed to think more of the Sunnyside concept. This one has far better writing, acting, directing, and production.
Walton Goggins was the main draw here for me originally. He did a great job in Justified, and it's about time he gets to play a good guy. I've seen most of the rest of the cast in other film and TV, and expect this ensemble to gell well as time goes on.
As someone said above, I'm not sure how they'll be able to string this gag out for multiple episodes, but hey that's why I'm not one of the writers.
I can't recall all the times I've said that about a show, and yep, that's why they're writers.
There are a couple this season that fall in that category. It'll be fun to watch how they develop (assuming I stick around for the ride).
Big here. The show AND Tracy.
Loved Justified and Goggins especially as Boyd Crowder. It is hard for me to see him in another role even after all these years. I watched the pilot and I am one and done however.
I wasn't going to record this, but last minute decided to. We enjoyed it and will give it another try at least. As mentioned I had know idea who Goggins was, so I didn't go in with any predisposition. I don't know if that helped or hurt
Looks like most of "Ballers" found work.
... halfway through (when the woman from Rules of Engagement showed up for his first "date", so looks like he'll be in a relationship by the end of the pilot)....
....i'll give this one more Episode, but doesn't look good...
Must be Walton Goggins week or something. I was at a relative's house last night, noticed a Big Bang Theory episode playing, and lo-and-behold there was Walton playing the scary jealous husband of a girl Raj was dating. S11 E14, "The Separation Triangulation", first aired 1/18/18.
I became a fan of Walt from Justified. Such a great role as Boyd Crowder, so I decided to give this a chance. It has potential, but I really can't stand either of the other couples. The daughters are fine, but please re cast or create new friends for him.
I just hope this doesn't turn into a date of the week show, which is something I'm afraid will happen. SP stays for now.
He doesn't have any flesh on his face, looks like skull with thin layer of skin.
I don't know...he looks pretty good here:
That's Allison Janney.
I'm really liking this so far.
Episode 2 was even better than the pilot.
I love his relationship with his daughters, both the serious side and the funny side.
Easily best new comedy.
