You'd think AJ would have taken the plastic bag off his head when he was flailing around in the pool. I hope he can get his money back for his defective Ronco Surefire Suicide Kit. This kid couldn't find some pills to O.D. on?

I know the series is coming to an end but it just seems that too much bad stuff is happening to Tony too fast, like they're trying to cram so much crap in to justify whatever happens in the finale.

A mob guy saying nasty stuff to a Mafia leader's daughter? I just can't see that happening, no matter how drunk he was.

The Coco scene - losing his teeth... My stomach still turns! Ick ! But, I'm surprised that Tony allowed him to live !!!

And - I agree, cheesesteak, drunk, or not drunk - I can't believe he approached Meadow like that.

is it possible Tony broke his teeth because of the reference Koko made about Meadow's mouth?

I agree, and it really didn't seem right that Tony was going to Phil to apologize for what he did to that guy. Seemed to me like Tony had every right to do what he did after what they guy said to his daughter. Factor in that Tony is the leader, and I think Phil should be apologizing to Tony.

my wife always shields her eyes and I have to tell her when it's over...it's funny because most of the really nasty stuff is not shown anyway!

in this case, you just saw Tony Kick down...nothing else was shown...

I think they showed a tooth landing on the floor (I wasn't really looking by that point).

Yeah ... a couple of teeth hit the floor. Then - loved the one he found later, in his pants cuff.

OK, here's my prediction for the final two episodes. Not a spoiler, just a prediction.

Remember when Tony got arrested this year, and the cops were forced to release him because the FBI has been working on building a case against him for years? I think that the two two "Arabs or Arabians" are part of that case; undercover FBI, sent to the Bing to infiltrate the mob. The two FBI agents never transferred to terrorism; they are still working on the Tony Soprano case.

OK, that's not very specific, but that's my notion.

So these two Arabs are undercover, infiltrating Tony's crew.
And the other two FBI agents go to see Tony, and *show him their pictures*, and encourage him to keep an eye on them if possible.
THIS is how you infiltrate a Mob organization?

    I think not.

I doubt the terrorist seeming guys have anything to do with Tony dying, though I can see them having somethign to do with him gettign an out IE witness protection. I do like the suicide theory though. Gandolfini has been acting that part of it wonderfully lately. HE turned Tony from the powerful mob boss to an obviously depressed figure that looks like teh living dead.

It was shocking (to me, at least) how much bigger Tony/Gandolfini was than Iler/AJ in that last scene in the hallway.

I got dosed with acid once, back in '68. I was with your dad and them back at the Copa. F***ing BOAC stewardess puts it in my drink. Jerry Vale started singing, and I look over. Your Uncle Jun's got laser beams shooting out of his eyes.

    Paulie, I'm gonna miss you!

Was it the first season that ended with Tony and family making it through the storm to Artie Bucco's Vesuvius restaurant, for a dinner by candlelight? That is one of my favorite Sopranos scenes. That ep and final scene did a great job of highlighting the "family" vs. the family juxtaposition. Difference now is that everything is going to heck on both fronts...

Steven Van Zandt (Syl) was on the Stern show this morning. He claims the ending for the show is "brilliant" and assured violence in the last 2 eps. Big surprise!

I totally agree. Tony has lost his balls. The old Tony never would've apologized. But I guess that's kind of the point... Tony has is not the same Tony any more.
