Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't fans of the original Star Trek pretty much dislike TNG?

They railed against it, until it debuted. Then most loved it, including me. Although I was always psyched for it.

I wouldn't call TNG a remake. More like a sequel, and they can occasionally be good. But, stay away from prequels if you value your sanity!

    Methuen,...
We should start a pool on what cheesy CGI object they'll use to represent the cheesy white weather balloon. :)

Trivia about Rover, from wikipedia (but I've read this in other places too):
Rover was originally intended to be a robotic machine, resembling a Dalek[citation needed] (see Doctor Who), but when the prototype was found to be unusable during the first few days of location shooting, the crew (this is usually attributed to Patrick McGoohan himself) noticed a weather balloon in the sky and used this out of inspiration.

Note how that's one of the few things with actual Beatles music in it? Also, how things like TV shows have no video/DVD releases, or bastardized versions thereof, because of music reasons?

The Prisoner is one of the few times where someone got *perpetual* rights for the music, and I believe, for all forms of media.
