I am watching on NBC. Anyone else watching? Who has the best coverage?
I will be watching as of about noon and will watch on CBS as they broadcast in 1080. NBC also does but for some reason, my local CBS always has a better quality picture.
Love The First Lady's new hair cut. She looks like Cleopatra kinda.
I caught the swearing in about 24 hours ago on CNN.
I've been watching my little desk TV, on MSNBC. Their coverage is usually fine except that I got a little frustrated earlier with them not just shutting the hell up for a while so I could watch/hear what was going on.
On this TV, where I don't have HD, the MSNBC channel has pretty much HD quality picture (don't ask me why, but this tv that is just hooked to cable through the wall has a couple of HD channels and some nice digital). The network channels (where I don't have HD) are just your standard, out of the wall, SD reception.
They're all over it, already. The oath. Already.
I love my home city. We upheld the office of the President, and even though we are conservative at heart we respected the President of the United States of America. I am proud that one day I will be elected Mayor of that fine city.
Am I the only one watching the parade?
Really? the commentators on CNN have never heard "Men of Harlech"?
I'm still kinda watching, but now I'm downstairs with my living room TV that has HD. I'm not a big 'parade person', but this stuff is always good....not your standard parade fare.
I love seeing all the HS bands. So much fun.
Edited to add: Wolf Blitzer played baritone sax in high school?
Well, that explains a lot.
(Disclaimer: I miss my friends from HS who were in the band. Great kids, all.)
Al Roker totally cracked me up.
Did they let him back into the White House after what happened last time?
I couldn't believe how Uncle Joe actually came over to him. Dr. Jill looked like she wanted to drag him back into the limo.
I bet the Secret Service was probably even less happy.
Later on, he was really working the crowd right infront of the White House. Of course, the people there are all big supporters, VIPs, etc.
Meh, I passed. Nothing of interest there for me.
Can somebody with a good TV tell me: what color the First Lady's Jason Wu ball gown is on your screen?
The people on CNN are calling it 'red' but it looks like a bright coral or orange to me. It's not the same color as the red stripes in the flags behind it.
Can't see the Jimmy Choo shoes but they're bound to be fab.
Edited to add: 'ruby'? Really? Wow, the TV lights must really change the color of the fabric.
Looked nice and red to me. A deep red. Certainly not coral or orange.
It looked very red to me. If pressed for a specific red, I'd say scarlet.
Thanks. Looks like I need to get out the calibration DVD.
I got my fix of royalty worship during the Queen's Jubilee Festival in the UK.
