    Do you even read the comments you argue with? Yes I said we will have to live with existing bugs in S3's; TiVo is moving on. How does one interpret that as "we will never receive another update from this point forward"?

    You can add the 'No Suggestions with a Tuning Adapter' issue that some are seeing. Ive got that on my S3 and my THD.

    Another issue that bugs me is the intermittent corrupted recording on my S3 where the recorded show is a series of frozen images with only some normal action. Audio is fine throughout the recording. Its not the stream as the same recording on my THD is fine. Ive only seen it on S3.

    And the SDV Macroblocking/Pixelation issue.

    I do believe that TiVo will continue to address issues on S3/THD. Its in their best interests to do so in my opinion. However, I believe Premier will be their 'first priority'. The Series 2 guys may be 'on their own' though... :D

    Let's add the HORRIBLE audio glitch between MP3 songs that have embedded album art.

    This makes music through the THD / Tivo Desktop almost unlistenable.

    You made an incorrect statement, tried to support it with your experience, and have been backing off from it ever since, going from having to live with *the* existing bugs (which bugs are *the* bugs that are not being fixed? It's strange how you've dropped the article "the" every time you've tried to quote what you said; that's just not being honest), to TiVo will fix only major bugs that affect revenue, to TiVo will continue to have software releases fixing bugs. That's quite a journey! I'm fine with dropping this now.

    We seem to now be agreed that this thread can be useful since TiVo will be fixing S3 bugs.

    Unfortunately there is no "official channels" way to report a bug. (I wish there were.)

    No, I honestly haven't tried calling up customer support, because trying to explain a bug there would likely not get it into their bug database.. but I run into several reproducible or semi-reproducible bugs often, that I'd gladly write up if there were an official way to report bugs.

    (BTW, I also think you're being slightly too negative about deferred bugs. I don't expect the various bugs we run into often to be fixed -- but companies can and do fix old bugs. Heck, I know of over-decade-old bugs that have been fixed in OSes.. and to be clear, I mean bugs that were *known* for that long..)

    It also reminds me of another. Music that has "unknown" listed for the album info will not play at all (at least, for me). It just returns a "server error".

    TWC in Dallas is switching to SDV. I have had issues before with no suggestions being recorded(as others did in this forum) but it has since been corrected. I don't think I could handle that again. I got some packing tape ready to return my premier I just preordered if it happens on there.

    Is one of the references to Grey Screens supposed to be Green Screens?

    If not, I'd like to add my personal most hated 'feature' - the crash to the green screen accompanied by screaming alarm. http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?t=418924

    I turn 'green' with envy when I read comments by people who have only ever re-booted their Tivo once or twice. I've seen the Tivo intro movie so many times in the last 10 months that it makes me want to put my foot through the screen just listening to the music. - Having a DVR that doesn't reliably record is just plain painful.

    You may be able to fix that by going to this page and checking the box at the bottom for "TiVo" and clicking "Continue". You'll have to sign back in on the TiVo box, but it may fix the problem.

    Heres one.

    TiVo HD
    Analog TWC
    No rebooting, just frozen picture on both tuners at seeminly random times. I take that back, 90% of the time is happens is after recording on one or both of the tuners.

    Requires a switching channels a few times, or fliping between tuners, or playing some recorded content. Eventually gets going again, with out a reboot.

    The last displayed closed caption remains on the screen after turning captions off, have to hit clear.

    If anyone cares to verify whether these or any other bugs are fixed, I'll scratch them off the list.
