So, their first show back from the winter break is a clip show?

This whole season has pretty much been a disappointment so far (save the Christmas episode). But after tonight's episode, I'm pretty sure we've hit the shark. Not just because we had a clip show (what is this, 1987?) but because the clips served as a great reminder of how funny the show used to be, and how much I used to love it.

    Damn. :(

Edited to add: The only time I laughed in the entire 30 minutes was with "Young Stanley".

Apparently, and I am also pretty disappointed that they chose to dump a clip show here.

Feels kinda like getting slapped in the face.

Yeah I may have chuckled at some of the original footage but I know for sure that I enjoyed the clips more than the rest of the show.

Wow, a bit dramatic? I enjoyed it. It was better than no episode or an actual repeat. Plus The Office produces more episodes than most shows so I have no problems with a clip show at some point during the season.

I enjoyed it a lot. I miss the old days when shows would have clip shows. It almost never happens any more. I thought it was great. I know I was definitely smiling when it was over and felt pretty good about all the funny stuff that had happened on the show. Even a few things I don't recall seeing.

    Booooooo.

As soon as I realized it was a clips show, I stopped watching.

Mostly because I watch full episode repeats often enough :)o) that I really don't need to see a bunch of clips.

    That's what she said!

I agree with you. The clips reminded me how great this show used to be. But because of that I enjoyed the show.

    Stapler in Lemon Jello.
Jim dressing up (and acting like) Dwight.
    Meredith on Casual Day.
    That's What She Said Montage.

    Classic stuff.

It was a promising episode until the clips started. A great setup for Michael to screw things up. I was amused at seeing Ryan still in the closet.

Many (not just some) of the clips were from this season.

Jeeters - Don't think so... some were, but most seemed to be prior seasons (which would make sense).

I think that I had remembered seeing most (if not all) of the clips before. The only one that I had not seen was the ending clip of Lazy Scranton (and the recording got cut-off partway through).

I enjoyed it for the most part.

Looking at the guide though I don't see any new eps coming for a while.

Yeah, most of the clips were from seasons 1 - 5. They had stuff mixed in from Season 6, but the S6 clips were nowhere close to a majority.

Interestingly, the Lazy Scranton stuff at the end had a few clips I'd never seen in the original airing. Not sure if it was deleted content they re-aired, or new footage they filmed for the clip show.

surprised to see a clips episode, but the clips they showed were great. so many funny moments on this show.

was this the 100th epsiode perhaps? seems to be a habit of clips shows for 100 show marks.

Some of the Creed stuff was new to me. I really think I've seen all the episodes, but perhaps not...

    Woo hoo!
    Clip Show!

Yeah. My TiVo had to be rebooted - I've been having a recurring issue with Time-Warner that every so often I get no video signal on broadcast HD channels until I do a reboot. So I missed my Office recording, due to there being no video signal.

    So, WOO HOO!!
    Clip Show!!

    :D

I guess I've missed an ep here and there. What was in the teapot that Pam opened in the montage?
