Indeed. He was definitely doing coke based on the bathroom trips and the way he touched his nose. However, he acted like a person on E, especially during that first scene in the club with all the hugging. Coke doesn't do that to you, but E does. From what I've heard.

Any chance he could have been doing both? Or is that a combination that is not generally done?

I don't know much about drugs; my addictions are food, gambling, and sex.

 

I'm curious too, by "that" do you mean makes you over emotional, or more happy, or what? I know nothing about E (except that it has a cable station named after it, haha).

 

He could have been doing both, although that would not be a recommended mix. E basically makes you very happy and causes you to become very affectionate. Coke has different effects for different people, but it would explain how excited he was. Coke would not have had him passing out that quickly, nor would it explain his hugging Dwigt and Michael. Alcohol could explain the hugging, but at that point he would have been slurring his words. As soon as he turned to them and hugged them I thought he was on E, then he started acting differently.

Not sure if it was a simple acting/directing/writing mistake or we're supposed to believe he was on multiple drugs. Passing out that early while on cocaine is definitely misinformed writing.

 

not to get too technical on you...but is it possible to be addicted to sex if you never get it?

Did it really need to be accurate? This isn't a drama. It's a sitcom. They exaggerate people's behavior all the time for comedic value.

 

Yeah... he's happy because he's on some drug. End of story.

 

Can't believe nobody mentioned the line where Michael and Jim are talking in Michael's office: Would you have sex with Merideth?

It was an office party. Michael brought a bunch of booze in and they all got trashed. They were leaving and Meredith walked in, flashed Michael, she snapped a picture, then walked out.

It was a funny scene

 

She was also topless with just a life vest coming out of the Capitan's cabin during the booze cruise. I think we are to believe that she was shown the Captian's Log.

I think there's also at least one other instance of Meredith topless.

 

"Almost" is nearly as bad as "actually"!

 

The Dunder Mifflin Survivor Island episode where she showed the camera that she had her bathing suit on under her clothes, only she didn't!
