Was this between Dwight and the short guy? I thought he asked if the short guy had powers...which was funny to me. I don't get polyps as funny if that was the question.

If it was between Dwight and the short guy, I heard "powers", too, which is the only thing that would make sense.

Of course, I heard "gaunt", when I know it had to be "goth"... ;)

Good point but stupid of the writers for not thinking of that.:) If Michael had a key, then Bob Vance, Vance Refrigeration would have a key. Phyllis calls Bob. Problem solved.

It occurs to me that Ryan might find Kelly more tolerable when he's coked up -- at least, they'd be running at about the same speed. :D

Is it just me or did Ryan seem much more high on E rather than cocaine? Especially during that initial greeting. When they first entered the club and he reacted the way he did, I knew he was high but I was also certain it was E.

ok...I'm the last person who should weigh in on drugs...but I thought E was a pill that you take...the frequent trips to the bathroom makes me think he was snorting cocaine...

Oh man, I just remember the line that really cracked me up this episode.

"I've been watching The Wire, and I don't understand a word of it."

I don't know why; that just really tickled my funnybone.

The scene with Michael talking to the young girl about Back To The Future and the girl not having any idea what he's talking about really resonated with me. I'm dating a couple of 25 year olds right now and they don't get most of the references I make. :)

Caught another joke on viewing #3:

Dwight: [Looks at label on peanut butter.] Wow, a lot of calories.
Michael: Just don't leave it on too long.

I love that Michael thinks you can absorb food through the scalp!

I noticed that one on my first viewing. :) Not only was Dwight eating the peanut butter, but he was eating it OFF MICHAEL'S HEAD.

One thing I didn't get was when Ryan was so happy to see Michael and Dwight. I know it's been discussed and it's supposedly the drugs, but I thought at first he was glad to see them because he had been telling his friends about them and was now going to get the chance to show them how weird they really are - especially when he was SO happy to see Dwight. I get that drugs can make you manic and not your usual self, but Ryan hates these guys, I just don't get why he was suddenly acting like they were his best friends.

Other than that it was a good show. I just realized that "Ryan" is one of the writers of the show. He seems so young, wonder how he got that position, especially considering that it was based on RG's British show.

If he's hanging out in the club with a hobbit and getting beat up by girls, I'd imagine that any friends are good friends.

I agree...Ryan is all show...he has no friends and all his great business ideas are a flop...he's lonely enough to be happy to see Michael and Dwight!

This why some people thought he was doing E.
Then you might be floored by the fact this episode was written by Mindy Kaling, who plays "Mindy." :D

    You all make sense.

It was a sad when Ryan said his friend had a drug problem and asked Michael what to do and Michael at first sounded like he understood, but then typically let it slip right past him. I'm not a huge Steve Carroll fan, except I think he plays Michael brilliantly. So shallow and so stupid, but he makes you like him and root for him and hate him all at the same time.

No, I'm pretty sure the actress's name is Mindy Kaling.
